I dreamt a strange yet calming dream one night

Amidst a physical and emotional pain

In a world that looked quite the same

Except for the slits that turned the water bright

And the rose petals that laid on the water just right

Blood draining from my body's weakened frame

And someone entering whom I can not seem to name

With a single touch all the pain began escaping away

Just as my eyes shuttered and saw the morning day
