To put it simply, this new Snapchat update gives me a headache, and I’m not the only one.

The camera is still the first thing you see when you open the app, but when you swipe left to check your direct messages, everyone and their brothers stories are also mixed in amongst your messages. When you swipe right, it’s a jumbled mess of stories and articles.  

Needless to say, people are not happy.

I was so annoyed by the new update that I took it upon myself to find a solution for this horrible situation. I looked up articles, videos, but found nothing. But I did stumble upon a website that was petitioning for Snapchat to revoke the new update. It’s goal is 75,000 signatures and it is currently at 58,716 with the numbers  growing every second. While I love that people are taking the initiative to make a change, a statement released by a Snapchat spokesperson said: “Updates as big as this one can take a little getting used to, but we hope the community will enjoy it once they settle in.” This statement makes me question if they will be open minded to making a change for their users. 

They think they know what's best for us and if we give it some time to adjust and“settle in”,  we'll love it. However, a large majority of people, myself included, prefered Snapchat the way it use to be, so can we bring it back?
