Aligned with the sky

Brightened by the sun

Controlled by the wind

Directly above the birds

Eventually needs to fall

For now flying high

Gliding along the beach

High above the ocean

Into a cloud it disappears

Just for a second

Knowing it will return

Learning towards the right

Meeting the sun’s rays

Now glowing in the sky

Over everyone’s head

Parallel with the shore line

Questioned if it will continue to fly

Rain may begin to fall

Struggling to fly calmly

The clouds darken

Underestimating the storm

Vicious lightning struck

Winds captured his prized possession

Xavier chased it along the waves

Yet the winds were too fast

Zooming through the sky was his kite
