While others were vacationing and relaxing over their spring breaks, the Lee High Forensics Team was competing in the State Competition. The team this year has accomplished a great deal. Not only are they the Conference 36 Champions, they also placed 3rd at the Regional Competition. Students put long hours and hard work into learning their assigned pieces, which is evident in their successes individually and as a group. The team as a whole placed 4th at the State Competition, missing 3rd place by only one point! Four students did exceptionally well at the competition. Tenor Nay had an amazing performance, placing 2nd in Storytelling. Zach White also earned a win the Storytelling category, placing 3rd. Henry Goodson placed 3rd in Extemp category. Mausam Mehta had an outstanding performance, leading her to earn the title of 1st Place State Champion in the Impromptu category. While their season is over for now, the Lee High Forensics Team shows great promise for the 2017-2018 school year!
