Every year since I was 2, I've traveled to Disney World which is a blessing because many people have never even gone there. The saying Disney is, “The happiest place on earth” is very true in my opinion! Every single staff member is always looking for a way to make your day extra special.
Even new employees have to deal with the pressure of, “Earning your ears.” A term Disney uses to let guests know that the employee is in training. The employee does not “earn their ears” until their training is complete according to Disney Institute Blog.
Since I was a little girl, every employee would call me princess and make me feel as if I were royalty. They literally make every little girl feel like a princess, or for boys a pirate. I remember my first time going to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. I dressed up as Belle. They gave me a big yellow cupcake dress with sparkles and ribbon all around it, along with gold sandals.
The member of the boutique wrapped my hair up into a tight bun and put long dark brown fake hair in. Then they put a sparkly gold crown on the top of my head. They did my makeup and tried to cover my horrifying sunburn, but did not succeed. They applied fake nails on. I remember the members trying to talk me out of getting fake nails by saying that, “Tinkerbell was going to come out of the parade and snatch them off my nails.”
After everything was complete, they got the “fairy wand” and told me to close my eyes and make a wish. As I did that they spun me slowly around in my chair and waved the wand over my head and sparkles would slowly fall out of the wand. Then they took me into the next room and I was photographed and still have the photos to this day.
I guess I looked a lot like Belle because girls my age at that time were asking if they could take pictures with me and were asking for my autograph. Back then, going to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique was like maybe a little over $100, but now the price is double that.
In my opinion it was all worth it because I will always have those special memories and I know for a fact that I will be taking my children to Disney World. If I have a daughter she'll definitely be going to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!
