Let me begin by asking you something. Who are you? Or maybe, who do you think you are? 

Who are you to stand before me and tell me that there are limits to anything, while there are ways to walk on water, or while there are footprints on the moon? Who are you to tell me what I can write about, talk about, and how far I can dream. You are not the person who defines me, I am. You are not the person who controls what I do, you do not make my decisions or control my thoughts. You cannot dictate the way I live my life, or how anyone else chooses to live theirs.

I'm not a child, and if you view me as one, you're sadly mistaken. If you believe this world is entirely pure and innocent, you are wrong. If you believe that everyone can be shielded and saved from true revelations, you're incorrect. How high do you believe you sit on a pedestal to think that you can crush a child's dreams of becoming a writer, a doctor, a scientist, etc. Are my decisions putting you, or anyone you care about in harm's way? No, they are not. What about the things I talk about? No, they're factual things, and remember, sticks and stones may break your bones, but words will never hurt you. Just because you believe you're higher in society, does not give you the right to limit others and attempt to dictate their lives. 

If I chose to be an equal rights advocate, a racist, a feminist, a white supremacist, a sexist, or a local hero, guess what? You have nothing to do with what I become. You can guide me in directions that you believe are right for me, but you will never limit me or set me to the standards of a society. Remember. Freedom of speech. Freedom of the press. And, freedom of choice.
