Many people don't know this but the converse shoe was originally designed to be worn when playing basketball. Marquis Mills was the creator of the converse shoe and made the first one in February of 1908. Although Converse are very popular today, they didn't become popular back in the day until world-famous basketball player Chuck Taylor began wearing and selling the shoe. 

Converse shoes have been a huge fashion statement for many years. You can buy them in a dozen different styles and colors. Another cool fact about them is that the reason the logo was placed on the inside of the high top was to prevent ankle bruising that might occur while playing basketball. 

I have always loved this shoe; they are super comfortable and now are worn as not only a basketball shoe, but also a fashion statement.
