January 20, 2008, President-Elect Barack Obama was sworn in as the president of the United States.

Obamacare, also known as the Affordable Care Act (ACA) was introduced to the nation in March of 2010. The ACA's purpose was to provide health insurance for US citizens. An estimated 22.8 million individuals have Obamacare.
Osama Bin Laden, the founder of al-Qaeda, was eliminated by Navy Seals in May of 2011. Following this event, Obama withdrew American troops from the Iraq war to protect civilian and military efforts with Iraq.
After serving his first term, Obama won the 2012 re-election against opponent Mitt Romney by 126 electoral votes.
Obama led global efforts to finalize the International Climate Agreement (ICA). The ICA became an arrangement to be more considerate and cautious of climate change. Countries settled to reduce carbon discharges and proliferate carbon trading.
