The Discoverer boy’s golf team has yet again shown a true passion for the sport. Several returning varsity players, as well as some new promising players, come to the course.
Starting with several players returning, Head Coach Anne Robertson has faith in some returning letter winners. Seniors Nic Kriech, Tyson Weber and sophomores Keaton Barnes and Owen Lawrence have a great season ahead of them. Noah Degn, Tyler Arnold, Carter Sedlacek and Kendall Hellbusch also have promising varsity and letter-winning futures.
Robertson has big plans ahead for this season. When asked about the goals for the team, Robertson says, “I want to improve from week to week - attain a team score of 340 or better. Have consistent scoring from returning letter winners to possibly earn a "wildcard" into the state tournament.”
Robertson is also excited to see how the boys improve from week to week. With many new golfers on the scene, there's lots to look forward to. Robertson is also ready to, “just to get out onto the golf course and compete.”
If you wish to see these golfers swing their clubs, you can watch them this Thursday, March 30th in Fremont! You can also catch them at their home tournament on Thursday, April 20th at the Elks Country Club!
