Attention all 11th graders. On Friday, February 24th, the class of 2024 will be participating in a Financial Literacy Event hosted by an organization called Junior Achievement. You will be participating in games, competitions, and activities that relate to finances and budget building that will start during first period and wrap up around 2:30 pm. You will be assigned to a team and a teacher to help guide you through the event, which will be shared in period 1 before the event begins.

Attention Juniors: There will be a prom committee and officers meeting on Wednesday, Feb 22nd at 315 in Mrs. Petri's room we will discuss the next fundraiser and more prom details. If you would still like to join please feel free to come to the meeting!

Ephrata School District is participating in Read Across America from Tuesday 2/28 to Friday 3/3. Read your favorite childhood books (like Dr. Seuss) to elementary students in the elementary school that you went to or is close to you!... Clay, Highland, Fulton, or Akron. See Mrs. Cummings in the Athletic Office to sign up!

Grace Fellowship Church is having a Gowns with Grace event. On March 25th high school students can come select prom gowns, and other formal attire to wear for prom at no cost!
Currently, the church is accepting donations of formal gowns, jewelry, etc. (see attached flyer). If you have lightly used gowns, you can drop donations off in room 226 or at the church between the hours of 9-4 by March 17th.

International Childhood Cancer Day is observed on February 15 every year and all over the world. The day raises awareness of childhood cancer and honors all the children and families experiencing the effects of the disease. You can show your support by donating to and participating in the MiniTHON that is coming up in less than 3 weeks!

If you are interested in the arts (music/video industry), engineering, manufacturing, finance, or marketing, ROCK LITITZ has the most AWESOME event for you!! Plan to attend this hand-on exploration activity where technology meets art at this live event industry day on April 27th. Rock Lititz is a one-of-a-kind production community that supports innovative creativity within the live event industry. With resources ranging from design, engineering, and manufacturing through rehearsals, and beyond, Rock Lititz is a one-stop-shop to collaborate on any live experience. This is a great activity to help you decide if any of the careers that support live events are for you. Be sure to check out the link in Schoology and complete the online survey link ASAP if you are interested.

On Friday evening, February 24th, at 7:00 p.m. there is a FREE, yes FREE concert open to the public. Musicians from Ecuador, Andes Manta, will be performing in the high school auditorium. They play traditional, folkloric music of the Andes Mountains, and will have a dance group with them too, performing traditional dances. These musicians travel around the country, and even make a lot of their own instruments by hand. Bring your family, bring a friend! Come and immerse yourself in another culture. Friday, February 24 at 7:00 p.m.

Attention Juniors: Thaddeus Stevens college will be hosting a College Fair on Tuesday March 14th. This fair attracts approximately 100 different colleges, universities, and trade school representatives. This is a great opportunity for 11th graders to interact with and learn about different colleges, which was a main focus of recent Junior Transition meetings.
Space is limited, so if you are interested, please print out a field trip permission packet from Schoology or pick one up from the Counseling Office and return it asap.

SPORTS INTRO

Attention all high school students interested in spring sports. Spring sports signups are underway on Schoology. Signups will close at the end of the day on February 16th.
Physical paperwork or re-certifications paperwork needs to be turned into the athletic office by February 27th, so you are ready for the first day of try outs. If you have any questions stop by
the athletic office and ask Mrs. Cummings.
Unified Track Sign-ups are happening now!
The Unified Sports Programs are designed to promote Physical activity, friendship, respect, and acceptance.
There are no tryouts for this sport, but you will need a physical to participate.
Sign-up in the athletic office or go to room 239 to become a part of this winning experience!
The EASD Mountain Bike Club is rolling out on the trails this spring. Join us! The club is open to ALL students in grades 6-12 and caters to riders of ALL abilities while specializing in the development of new and beginner riders.
We meet weekly on Wednesdays from April 5 through May 24 and have group rides scheduled on weekends at Camp Mack, Mount Gretna, Hershey, and Blue Marsh.
