Luxury (Zoey) - Prom is considered to be the biggest high school dance. A lot of time and thought goes into picking a theme that the choosy so-and-sos of the junior class won’t hate. While everybody has the preferences, I can’t think of a more appropriate, beloved theme than one that is luxurious and formal.
To begin, when shopping for prom dresses it can be hard to find one that matches the theme, but with a luxury theme there are hundreds of dresses to match the occasion - and many at a low, low price! Today dresses come in all different sizes, styles, lengths and colors. With the luxury theme the hunt to find the perfect dress is easy. There are so many dresses you can choose from that makes you look and feel amazing.
Furthermore, the luxury theme is an easy theme to decorate. It's simple and elegant. All you need are decorations that seem like gems and richest. There are also plenty of cost-effective, yet fancy-looking serving dishes for snacks and drinks. Yeah, they may not be your grandma’s finest dinnerware, but who wants that at a high school dance anyway? In the case of prom, looks are everything, and authenticity is secondary. The appearance of luxury is easy to pull off and at a price the money-crunchers can accept.
To wrap it up, it's pretty obvious that Luxury is the best prom theme. With its elegant and simple designs to hundreds of options for dresses.

Hawaiian (Camila) - As prom at CHS slowly approaches, a theme for the event is still in the air. Speaking of in the air, if you had a chance to jump on an airplane and go anywhere on a cold February day, where would you go?
I agree.
A Hawaiian themed prom would be a splendid idea! From the range of colors and aesthetics, to the fun party games and decorations, it’s easy to see why we should turn the CHS Gym into the 808!
A Hawaiian themed prom has so much potential for seniors and juniors to create enjoyable memories. For example, we could decorate with a Tiki bar for drinks, food, and snacks. The hut could be decorated with all types of Hawaiian flowers, creating the perfect background for photos to remember our night. Palm trees decorated with fairy lights, and glowing lanterns hanging from the ceiling could help shine some light in a dark spacious room. Leis and flower crowns would be great for party favors, especially to take photos with friends.
For party games, there are loads of Luau themed games for entertainment. Two examples are, “Pass the Coconut,” and “Hawaiian Limbo.” The first game is another version of “Hot Potato,” except with a coconut. The second game is most known for the phrase, “How low can you go?” For the “Hawaiian Limbo,” all that is needed is a broom, or long stick, some Hawaiian music, and as two people hold the ends of the stick, the bar moves lower and lower as the game progresses.
All in all, from the festive themed Hawaiian decorations, to the creative games, a Hawaiian themed prom would turn out to be a splendid time for all students. Compared to an over the top theme, a Hawaiian themed prom is perfect for an evening that is full of fun and summer vibes.
