Next week, the junior class will be selling candy canes at all lunches. You will be able to send the candy canes to other students to be delivered right before winter break. They will be on sale in the cafeteria, regular candy canes for $1 and specialty candy canes for $2. Please make sure you know the first and last name of the person you are sending the candy cane too, as well as their first period class.

After erupting for the first time in nearly 40 years, lava flows from Hawaii’s Mauna Loa volcano now “appear to be inactive,” the US Geological Survey said Monday. The eruption began November 27, drawing spectators to the world’s largest active volcano to marvel at its fountains of glowing lava, which at times shot 200 feet into the air and threatened to cover a major highway on Hawaii’s Big Island.

 

Continuing with our recent holiday national days, Today is national Cocoa Day. You can choose whether or not to add the marshmallows and whipped cream.

Friends of Rachel Club: We have our first meeting (post-Rachel's Challenge) tomorrow, 12/13, in room 121 right after school. We usually run until about 3:30. Don't forget to sign up for the activity bus if you need a ride. We will be signing holiday cards and sending them to Keystone Villa. Also, we will look at the brainstorming lists you all created during the training to combine like-ideas, and do some delegating. All are welcome. Let's start a chain reaction and change our culture!
