When you think of a perfect fall day, do you think of cozying up with a blanket, watching movies and eating chocolate chip cookies? If so, I have the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe for you! If you would like to indulge in this chewy, chocolatey dessert, here’s what you need to make it!
Ingredients:
-
3 cups All-Purpose Flour
-
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
-
¾ teaspoon Kosher salt
-
2 sticks (1 cup) Unsalted Butter, room temperature
-
1 cup Light Brown Sugar (packed)
-
1 cup Granulated Sugar
-
2 Large Eggs
-
2 teaspoons Pure Vanilla Extract
-
2 ½ cups Semisweet Chocolate Chips
-
1 teaspoon Flaked Sea Salt (optional)
Instructions:
-
In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
-
In a stand mixer with a paddle attachment, beat together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar on a medium-high speed until light and creamy, or about 3 minutes.
-
Add the eggs and vanilla to the stand mixer on low until completely incorporated, scraping sides of bowl as needed.
-
Add flour mixture to stand mixer on low until combined (stop mixing as soon as there are no dry spots of flour in the dough- do not overmix).
-
Add chocolate chips and mix on low speed until fully combined.
-
Refrigerate dough for about 20 minutes while the oven preheats.
-
Heat oven to 350°F.
-
Lightly grease a sheet pan or line with parchment paper.
-
Use a tablespoon measuring spoon to scoop even portions of the dough.
-
Bake cookies until the edges turn golden brown (this should take about 9-12 minutes).
-
Sprinkle the tops with flaky sea salt. (optional)
-
Let cookies cool and store them in a sealed container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
After you have made these cookies, grab a blanket, turn on your favorite movies and curl up on the couch to have the best fall day!
