Testing Season!
The time has come once again to test your knowledge and your patience at this year’s ACT. Columbus High School will be taking the statewide test with the best testing environment possible for CHS students.
Juniors will take the ACT tomorrow, Tuesday, April 5, 2022, while 9, 10 and 12 graders will not be attending school. Juniors should arrive to school by 7:30am to ensure that the test will begin on time. Testers will be released when the testing time is completed. All juniors should leave their phones and smartwatches at home or in their vehicles. Anybody who brings in such a device will have to surrender it at the door and can pick it up in the school counseling office after the exam.
Class for everybody will resume Wednesday, April 6, 2022, and there will be a regular Wednesday dismissal at 2:35. Freshman will take the PreACT that morning and should report to school by 7:45am. Freshmen will attend their afternoon classes as scheduled once the test has finished.
Thursday April 7, 2022 all students will once again attend school with a regular 3:40 dismissal. Sophomores will be taking the PreACT in the morning and should arrive at 7:45am as well to begin the test on time. Afternoon classes will continue as normal when testing is finished.
Be sure to ask your homeroom teacher for your testing locations.
