With spring break almost here, it can be difficult to figure out how to spend all of the extra time you have. I've put together a list of some of the most fun pastimes you can do over spring break.
Some of the most fun activities happen outdoors with a group of people or even by yourself. You can go on a picnic with your friends and family and make a day trip out of the whole excursion. Start by choosing a location. Then pack whatever food, snacks and drinks you wish to bring along. Then, and most importantly, have fun, sit back, and relax and enjoy spring break! I personally think this is one of the best ways to get outside while still being with your family and friends.
Picnics are not the only thing you can do outside, however. Going for a walk, walking your dog, riding a bike, scooter, or even a skateboard are just a small number of ways to get enjoyment out of the sweet spring weather. I especially enjoy getting to be outside in amazing weather while walking my dog.
Aside from simply enjoying your time outside, being outdoors can benefit your health as well! Being outdoors during warm weather is always a great way to get Vitamin D which builds healthy bones, muscles, and hearts. So, whatever you decide to do to enjoy your time outdoors, just make sure to have fun and stay safe!
Now, for those of you who prefer the indoors, you do not have to be outside to let time fly and have fun. One of my favorite things to do indoors is watching television. Whether you watch by yourself in a room or with a big group of friends, make sure to find a movie or show that everyone can enjoy.
Another fun indoor activity that I always love to participate in is board games. I love to play Monopoly, Candy Land, or even Scrabble. Trust me, with the right game and the right opponent, you can take the “bore” out of your day with board games!
Another indoor activity you can do is a fun craft activity. This could include painting a picture, origami or even doing a home renovation project. Just think, any home renovation projects that are small and easy to do can be easily done during the time of spring break.
If none of these sounds up your alley, a classic spring break standby is a date with a good book. While I’m not the biggest reader on the planet, I can always get excited about a good book that I know I will like. Spring break is a great time to find what books you do enjoy and also a great time to catch up on what reading you’ve missed.
In conclusion, spring break doesn't have to be boring. You can spend your days outdoors or relax inside on your couch. Whichever you decide, you will certainly have a memorable break from school!
