Happy scholarship season, seniors! Sometimes, finding these academic awards that you could be eligible for is really difficult and disheartening. By Googling “scholarships,” you can find so many amazing rewards. Here are 5 wacky scholarships that just about anybody could apply for that offer big rewards for your post-secondary education! 

1. Vegetarian Resource Group Scholarship 

Deadline: February 20 

Amount: $5,000 - $10,000

This group offers 3 scholarships for graduating US high school students who promote vegetarianism and veganism in their schools and community. Write an essay, submit your transcript and get some recommendations!

2. Fire Memes Scholarship 

Deadline: October 1

Amount: $1000

No essay required! Submit your favorite meme to be eligible for this scholarship. 

3. The American Fire Sprinkler Association Scholarship 

Deadline: April 1 

Amount: $2,000

Write a short essay promoting sprinklers and fire safety for the chance to win $2,000. There are 10 awards available. 

4. Stuck at Prom 

Deadline: June 9

Amount: $10,000

Create a dress or tux, made of duct tape and submit a picture for the chance to win $10,000!

5. National Potato Council Scholarship 

Deadline: June 19
