64 years ago today, the son of a Danish carpenter and successful toymaker named Godtfred Christiansen, walked into a patent office and filed for a design of interlocking plastic bricks that would go on to become the world’s most successful toy company. Meaning “play well,” LEGO, as we know it today, was born when Godtfred began to realize the capability which plastic had for replacing wood in children’s toys. It took five years to find the right material for the brick which that patent still produces today. It’s made of ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) polymer, and 600 billion have been made to date.

yesterday, bowling won 7-0 at Cedar Crest. Tanner Murray led the Mounts with a 678 series, and followed closely by Mateo Morales with a 672. Swimming clinched both the boys and girls section title at E town. Rifle lost 490-496 at Garden Spot. Top shooters were

Today, Boys basketball is home vs Warwick, and the girls are away at Warwick. Tomorrow, boys basketball is away at Twin Valley and the girls are home vs Twin Valley. Tommorow, the track and field team travels to F & M for their first invitational.
