The annual Jam the Gym is one event to watch this January. The event takes place on January 23rd at 2:00 in the CHS Main Gym.
This event will involve an assortment of dance teams coming from high schools, colleges and dance studios. Colleges attending will include the Midland University Dance Program, Doane University Dance Team, Nebraska Wesleyan University Dance Team and Northeast Community College. You can certainly expect to see entertaining performances!
Aside from all the skilled collegiate dancers, multiple high school cheer and dance teams will grace the CHS gym floor. You can expect to see the Shelby-Rising City Dance Team, the Osceola Dazzlers, East Butler Liquid Gold Dance Team, Omaha South Luvabulls, Archbishop Bergan and the hard-working CHS cheer team.
Not only will high school and college dancers entertain us, but some very talented studio dancers will as well. You can enjoy performances from Barb’s School of Dance, iDance Project, Lynette’s Dance Studio, Steps by Tiffany and Desiree’s Dancers. Each dance studio will provide an entertaining array of dances to really wow your minds.
Jam the Gym is best known for all the performances from the Diamond Dancers. This year, they will be showcasing their most popular performance of the year, “Diamonds in the Rough”. This annual performance is typically the most entertaining one of the afternoon as the Diamonds bring on a group of CHS dance-enthusiasts to perform alongside their favorite drill team. Along with that, you can also look forward to seeing their State Pom Routine, the High Kick routine as well as other dances they worked very hard to learn at UDA camp. Every year, the Diamonds always give us an entertaining performance that is enjoyable to watch.
All in all, the annual Jam the Gym event will be an exciting, entertaining, and awe-inspiring event to watch and enjoy. For more updates about CHS events such as Jam the Gym, be sure to follow CHS Anchor News on Instagram. Twitter and Fusfoo.
