The deadline for CTC applications is swiftly approaching.  December 24th is the deadline for the application to be completed.  You can go to the EHS Counselors Website or refer to your Schoology message for the link and instructions.  If you have any questions, please see your counselor for help.

In February Ephrata’s local VFW will host a dinner celebrating the winners of their audio-essay competition called Voice of Democracy. Established in 1947, the Voice of Democracy program awards students for writing and recording patriotic essays.
 
Each year nearly 40,000 high school students enter to compete for their share of 2.1 million dollars of scholarships. The dinner will honor two Ephrata high school students. Kaylie Horst earned first place at both the local and district levels And Ava Morgan earned third place at the local level Congratulations Kaylie and Ava.
 
Finally, the social studies department would like to thank all students who participated in the Voice of Democracy contest.

Yesterday in sports, Bowling won 7-0 at Lebanon. Andrew Barnica had a 680 while Nate Barnica had a 677 series. Rifle lost at Wilson 474 to 491
The Top shooters were:
Lauren Zimmerman 97
Madeline Sherk 96 1 center
Camille Cochran 95
 
Swimming ran away with Penn Manor. The boys won 110-54. Colby Simes and Chad Jones had 2 wins each Ethan Lloyd and C Burkholder had 1 each.  On the girls side, it was 119-43 with the girls taking all top finishes except 1. Kauri Parsons, Ava Knopsnyder, and Bria Burkholder all had 2 wins. Sami Ehrhart also tallied a win for the Lady Mounts. Girls basketball lost 42-49 against Lebanon. Jasmine Griffin had 17 and Brynn Adams had 12.  the boys lost 34-63.
 
Today, girls basketball is home vs Warwick and the boys are away at Warwick.

They will be delivered during ACT on Dec 22 and 23 right before break! You can write a message to attach to the candy cane if you choose! Please know the name and homeroom teacher or number of the person you are buying the candy cane gram for!
