Busy Building Bath Bombs for Bath Time
If you are one who enjoys the feeling of baths and is looking for a fun activity that will satisfy your day, then I suggest you should make aromatic bath bombs. Bath bombs are so easy to make but do take a while to dry. There are made from some simple ingredients and can lead to relaxation from creation through use.
Ingredients:
-
1/2 cup of Corn Starch
-
1/2 cup of Citric Acid
-
1/2 cup of Empson Salt
-
1 cup of Baking Soda
-
1 teaspoon of Mica Powder
-
10 drops of one Essential Oil ( whatever fragrance you prefer)
-
2 1/2 tablespoons of Coconut Oil
-
1 tablespoon of Water
Equipment:
-
A Large Bowl
-
A Small Bowl
-
Measuring Cups
-
A Whisk
-
Circular Molds
Steps:
-
For the dry ingredients, you will take the large bowl and add 1/2 of corn starch, citric acid, Epsom salt, 1 cup of baking soda, and 1 teaspoon of Mica powder. Mix until it is well combined.
-
Next, take your 2 1/2 cups of coconut oil and melt it completely in the microwave. Once it is melted, take the wet ingredients and mix the coconut oil, 10 drops of your favorite essential oils, and 1 tablespoon of water.
-
Carefully add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients very slowly. Pouring slowly will make the mixture not fizz as much. When you are done, the mixture should look like wet sand.
-
Grab your molds and start with one side of the mold. Press until it fills the mold entirely. You are going to want the edges to be pressed firmly so that it is rough and will keep your bath bomb in its shape. Keep taking the mixture and keep pressing it into the molds. Remember that it is okay to overfill your mold. This will give you a secured bath bomb.
-
Now to the not-so-fun part. You need to leave your bath bombs in their mold for up to 24 hours.
-
DING DING! 24 hours is up! Check your molds and slowly pop out the bath bombs from their mold. It is important to do it carefully; otherwise, it could crumble.
-
Once you got your bath bombs out safely, then you may keep your bath bombs in an airtight container. Airtight containers will allow your bath bombs to stay dry when they are not being used.
-
Enjoy your bath!
Although many people enjoy their bath time by overflowing their tubs with bubbles, I think the best way to spend a bath is to have some good smelling bath bombs that will not only make your bath smell delightful but also the entire bathroom. The best part is when you watch it fiz uncontrollably and when you also get a good whiff of your favorite fragrance. I hope that making aromatic bath bombs will fill your day will relaxation.
