U.S. President Barack Obama and Chinese General Secretary Xi Jinping have announced their formal support of Paris climate change agreement COP21. Described by Obama as the “moment we finally decided to save our planet”, COP21 sets new greenhouse gas emission limits and grants trillions of dollars to poor countries on the edge of climate disaster.

MOTHER TERESA IS MADE A SAINT

In a huge Vatican City mass attended by Catholics from around the world, Pope Francis canonized Mother Teresa, declaring “may she be your model of holiness”. A former Albanian nun, Mother Teresa established her Missionaries of Charity in the slums of Kolkata, India in 1950, where she ministered to the region’s poor and homeless until her death at age 87.

TACO TRUCKS AND TRUMP

Marco Guitierrez, founder of Republican support group “Latinos for Trump”, had some controversial things to say about his own culture during a recent MSNBC interview. While referencing America’s Mexican immigrant population, Guitierrez said “it’s imposing and it’s causing problems. If you don’t do something about it, you’re going to have taco trucks on every corner.” Judging by America’s welcoming social media response to his warning, the average American has no problem with that concept. The Washington Post even points out that this scenario would mean “good news for the economy”.
