Peanut Butter Balls
Are you a peanut butter and chocolate lover? Well, I’ve got a best recipe for you that will make you melt in happiness. These tasty no-bake peanut butter balls are so delicious, they’ll make you famous amongst your friends and family.
Now, here’s what you need…
- 1 medium-sized bowl
- a spatula or spoon
- 1/2 cup of melted butter
- 1 1/2 cups of peanut butter
- 2 1/2 cups of powdered sugar
- 1 cup of chocolate chips
Steps:
-
First, you are going to measure exactly a half cup of butter into your measuring tool. Put the butter in the microwave on high for 30-60 seconds. Once the butter is completely melted, pour the melted butter into the medium-sized bowl.
-
Then, you’ll want to prepare the peanut butter. You may use a spoon or a spatula to scoop the peanut butter out and into your measuring cup. You are going to need 1 1/2 cups of the peanut butter. Once measured, you can now mix the peanut butter in with the melted butter.
-
This next step is very messy. but it is very important. Get the powdered sugar and slowly pour it into 2 1/2 cups. This step is very important because if you don’t add enough powdered sugar, your mixture is going to be very runny. If you add too much powdered sugar, the mixture will not easily hold its ball-like shape. While many bakers like to eyeball ingredients, valor is not the only thing of which discretion makes the better part.
-
Now, you may mix all of the ingredients together until you get a dough-like texture. Make sure to scrape the sides of the bowl because the powdered sugar will stick.
-
Once you get the dough-like texture, wash your hands.
-
Take little pieces of the dough and start rolling into golf ball sized balls.
-
When done, set your peanut butter balls in the freezer for 20 minutes.
-
As they are setting in the freezer, put 1 cup of chocolate chips into a bowl with a little bit of butter. This will allow the chocolate to melt perfectly and not bubble up.
-
Place your chips and butter in the microwave for about 20-30 seconds. Be sure to wait a good 10-15 minutes before starting to melt your chocolate. That way, the chocolate won’t re-harden by the time your peanut butter balls are ready to come out of the freezer.
-
Once the 20 minutes is up for the freezer then you can take the balls one by one and submerge into the melted chocolate. Once you’ve completely covered every ball, re-freeze them for another 20 minutes and enjoy!
Not only is this recipe mouth-watering but it is so simple to put together. This recipe is good for family and friend gatherings and is something everyone can enjoy.
