Once again, the holiday season fast approaches CHS, which means it’s time for the CHS Band’s annual holiday showcase. This year the band will be performing once more and highlighting the tremendous amount of hard work and effort put into the Fine Arts program this school year. However, this Holiday concert will be unlike in previous years.
For one, each player is only allowed to bring two people from their household. This means that those wishing to attend the concert but do not occupy the same residence as one of the performers will, unfortunately, be unable to attend in-person due to COVID-19 regulations. Those who can attend must have their student fill out a document sent out by Mr. Peabody. This way, it assures that the people arriving at the concerts are admitted.
The CHS Band will be featuring songs such as “Winter Holiday” arranged by James Swearingen, and “Hennepin County Dawn (Shrouds of Snow)” arranged by Samuel R. Hazo.
Overall, the CHS band looks forward to featuring their music this December despite the challenges met by COVID-19. They are sure to put on a fantastic concert tonight as they take the stage for the last time in 2020.
