2020’s been quite a year, right? Now, you have the opportunity to leave your mark for future generations so they can get a taste of what 2020 was. On Thursday during Mountaineer Block, we will be creating items to add to a time capsule (to be opened several years from now) that showcases some of the differences this year brought for us. Have something you would like to add? Maybe a photo, a concert program, a newspaper article? Bring it in on Thursday December 17 to your homeroom. Thanks for making this mark on history!

In today's news the first trucks full of the COVID-19 vaccine are making their way to the states. The FDA approved the vaccine on Friday and the distribution started over the weekend. The plan is to vaccinate three quarters of the population within the next 5 to 6 months. The initial priority will be 21 million front-line healthcare workers, followed by the roughly three million elderly people in long-term care facilities. The first three million doses are expected to arrive at 145 facilities across the country TODAY, and at additional sites later in the week.

Doug Peterson's decision to start Jalen Hurts paid off with a 24-21 win over the Saints. Strong defensive efforts and an effective offense were key to the on the road win. Zane called the Steelers game on Friday and was right on the money. The Steelers fell to the Bills last night 15-26. In the MLS cup, the Columbus Crew dismantled the Seattle Sounders 3-nil.

Attention All Students!!

The EHS Theatre Program has now begun to accept video submissions for thier upcoming spring musical production of "Guys and Dolls". Starting Friday, Dec 11th thru Wednesday, Dec 16th any student interested in auditioning should review the audition information which include selected song and monologue on the Guys and Dolls Schoology Group.

There you will find all the materials needed for your audition.  You may use the access code BHVJ-2GZD-TCP9W to login to this group. Please note there will be callbacks by invitations only. The show is scheduled for March of 2021.

All are welcome to audition. No experience necessary. Please email Mr. Gonzalez or Mrs. Umholtz if you have any questions.
