The elections for Newfield’s G.O. and class officers of the 2020-2021 school year took place on Thursday, November 5th, 2020. Students in both the hybrid and virtual models were given an opportunity to vote during their social studies classes. This was done through online forms to avoid the spread of the Coronavirus. As a precaution against fraudulent voting, students could only vote once on the form and were only able to vote using their school email addresses. The elected officers were announced on Monday, November 9th and are as follows:.

G.O. advisors this year are Mrs. Mangine and Ms. Montana. Ms. Montana will be doing her first year as G.O. advisor this year; she was previously an advisor to the Class of 2021. Mrs. Mangine notes that there are appointed positions other candidates can apply for if they did not win the election, and those applications will be considered by a committee to decide who, if anyone, will earn those positions.
