The SJR Chess club is a fun and welcoming club for all students in the SJR school. It involves critical thinking and strategic attacks in order to beat your opponent.  There are multiple players with different strategies that make it harder to conquer the king on the battlefield of chess. Chess is a battle between two people that consist of how intelligent ones mind is of the game. Chess played at SJR doesn’t involve the wealth or race of the player in order to beat the opponent which makes the game fair for everyone! Chess occurs twice a week at the media center where then the chess area becomes clustered with different people from grades who vary from 9-12.
