Columbine Survivor's Sad End
Austin Eubanks, who survived the Columbine High School mass shooting in 1999, has died at age 37. Eubanks suffered addiction issues for years brought on by the trauma of being shot and witnessing the deaths of many of his friends and classmates. After the shooting, Eubanks was prescribed pain medication to deal with his injuries which led to an addiction that lasted over a decade.
He used his eventual recovery to counsel others, becoming an advocate for funding education on addiction, treatment, and reforms to the health care system.

Robert F. Smith, a billionaire businessman who received an honorary doctorate at Morehouse College graduation ceremony, surprised everyone after he announced that he was providing a grant to eliminate the student debt of the entire Class of 2019.
Smith made his 13 billion dollar fortune through the private equity firm, Vista Equity Partners. During his remarks in front 400 students at the Sunday morning commencement, Smith had pledged a separate $1.5 million gift to the school of the nearly 400 graduating seniors.
