Health and Wellness Club held the first corn hole and spike-ball tournament in the afternoon of December 21. It was five dollars per person to play either game or you could spectate for one dollar a person. Also to play you had to make sure that you had a partner. This event took a lot of planning and as a health and wellness club member I would know. Setting everything up the day of the fundraiser took a long time as well. Health and Wellness Club was not the only club involved in this fundraiser. Student Government sold some snacks and drinks to benefit their club as the tournament happened.
When it came to the afternoon of December 21 everyone that signed up to watch or play were called down to the gymnasium. One of the health and wellness club members explained everything and then we got started with the games. Health and Wellness club members were instructed to walk around and make sure no one was cheating. As a member, I feel that the fundraiser went over very well. Everyone that came down to play or spectate had a lot of fun. Health and Wellness is hoping to do more fundraisers in the near future, and I hope that we can raise even more money for the American Heart Association.
