Before Christmas break, EJ held their first annual Spikeball and Cornhole tournament. Surprisingly there was a lot of teams that signed up. There were even some underclassmen that came to watch. The tournament took place while the other students, that chose not to participate, watched a movie. Spikeball was a double elimination bracket and cornhole was a single elimination bracket.The final game for spikeball was between Cade/Navarre and Coy/Jadyn. They played earlier in the bracket with Cade and Navarre winning by four points. The final game started with Coy and Jadyn going up by one or two early, and then lost the lead about halfway through the match. Navarre and Cade stayed ahead until they won 21-19. The cornhole tournament championship was between Brody/Bree and Hunter/Jenna. It was the best of three games. The first game was a blowout with Hunter and Jenna getting only four points. The second game was closer and Brody and Bree even went over 21 a couple times. In the end they won the second game and therefore the championship. Both players of each team received 12 dollars to spend at the school store.
