Newfield's Thirty-Eighth Annual Craft Fair Was a Success to be Remembered

Every year, Newfield holds its craft fair right at the peak of the holiday season. While many overlook just how important this tradition is, its accomplishments should not go unmentioned. The Newfield High School Craft Fair is one of the longest running craft fairs in the entire nation, and its easy to see just how big it is from the second one arrives inside. Even compared to previous years, Newfield's craft fair attendees and vendors seems huge. New room had to be opened up in several parts of the school just to fit all of the markets. After visiting many of the shops, my favorite was definitely the fudge and chocolate vendor inside of the gym. I ended up buying some peppermint fudge, and it is probably the best fudge I have ever eaten. This is not to undersell just how amazing many of the other shops were, however: every single person at the fair was kind and reasonable with their pricing, and the feeling of giving was eminent in every part of the school. If you have been reluctant to check out this craft fair in previous years, I personally believe it couldn't be more worth it. There's something for every kind of person, whether it be jewelry, raffles, food, clothes, or Christmas decorations, and the all-around spirited, community-driven, caring and happy mood is something seldom to this degree, and I look forward to seeing how much it will continue to grow in the coming years.
