During the months of September and October, the art classes of East Juniata participated in painting a plow given to us by Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).  PennDOT aims to support schools’ art programs in Pennsylvania, while also promoting road safety.  This year’s theme for the plow is “Know Before You Go.”  Our plow design includes travel safety items for winter and also represents our school with tiger paw prints.  It has recently been finished and sent to PennDOT to be entered into a contest.  The picture of our plow will be on PennDOT’s Facebook page where you can vote for our plow as “Fan Favorite.”  Once a winner is chosen by the judges, our plow will be used on the roads around the area!
