On Wednesday, October 17 the 2018-2019 National Honor Society induction commenced. Newly elected president, Serina Tressler, began the ceremony and welcomed the audience to the event. The rest of the officers and some additional senior members continued with the ceremony in explaining the National Honor Society and the symbols that make up its framework. NHS is an engaging organization that allows students to become more involved in their community as well as activities within the school. It teaches students skills in time management, volunteering, and responsibility. While the group of students inducted is smaller in comparison to the group inducted last year, we are all happy to introduce the newest members of East Juniata’s chapter of National Honor Society!
