The East Juniata Girls Soccer team of 2018, has had an extremely accomplishing season so far. They have beaten one of their hardest opponents, Lewisburg, 2-1 in the last 8 minutes of the game, scoring both goals. The game was intense, and the rain that day really made everyone on even playing ground, even though it was played at Lewisburgs field to possibly their advantage. Both Girls soccer teams worked extremely hard, but the East Juniata Girls’ soccer team wanted to beat their opponents more. The previous year of 2017, East Juniata had lost to Lewisburg at the Lewisburg teams’ home field, 4-0. This year, EJ made the tables turn. The game really was a nail biter. A few weeks into the season, they played Bloomsburg, another opponent, but this time last year they had lost to them in the district championship, 3-0, previously in 2017. This year, however, the outcome was 7-0 for the tigers, another great big win for the team.
At the end of each game, the EJ tigers always yell, as tradition, “CHUGGA CHUGGA, *2 blows from a train whistle*.” The team has it all right, you can’t stop a runaway freight train, and this trains’ path hopes to lead itself to the State Championship. The train keeps rollin’!
