Movie Review: The Trolls

The animated fantasy comedy film “The Trolls” is filled with music, color, happiness, ridiculous hair and adventures. This movie was released on Nov. 4, and I must say that it was worth the watch.

The baseline of the story is that these ogre-like creatures called the Bergens invaded the Troll Village and took some of the trolls captive. The soon to be queen and the happiest of the trolls, Princess Poppy, and her fellow pessimistic friend Branch set out on an adventure to rescue her friends. The adventure is filled with challenges around every corner but they face them together. She ends up saving her friends with the surprising help of a Bergen. The Bergens felt that the only way to be happy was to eat a troll. They realized that it isn't the only key to happiness and that they can find happiness on their own. They accomplished their mission to save their friends, and they don't have to hide in fear any longer.

With fantastic DreamWorks animation, this movie will put a smile on your face. I enjoyed all of the songs in the movie, and I felt that they all fit perfectly with every scene. There was never a dull moment and the movie kept my fullest attention. If you're looking for a good laugh and a little something to brighten your day, then this is the movie for you.
