Breast Cancer is known to be the second most common cancer found in women. Approximately 1 in 8 women in American will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer at some point in their lives. The Majority of women can survive Breast Cancer if it is found and treated early enough. National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a chance to focus on raising awareness about the importance of detecting Breast Cancer early. The East Juniata Girls’ Soccer team, coaches, and boosters support the fight against Breast Cancer.
On October 1, 2018 the girls soccer team took on Bloomsburg Panthers at 6:30 at their home field. They spread the word as much as they could in order to have a great turnout. The girls wore pink shirts as their warmups, colored their hair tips pink and work pink headbands. Everything pink! It was a great night as the girls came out on top with a 7-0 win all while acknowledging the survivors courage and strength through their journies.
