Tsunami in Indonesia

The death toll continues to rise in Indonesia as the extent of the damage is still being uncovered. A magnitude 7.5 quake struck the province of West Sulawesi triggering a massive tsunami which swept through beach front areas across the country. Indonesia sits on part of the earthquake-prone Pacific region known as the Ring of Fire and was previously devastated by a 9.1 magnitude tremor in 2004. This caused a tsunami across the Indian Ocean that killed 230,000 people.
