Crazy Rich Asians proved that diversity is gold at the box office. The movie, which was adapted from the bestselling book by Kevin Kwan, tells the story of an Asian-American woman who meets her boyfriend's ultra-wealthy family in Singapore. It's the first romantic comedy to top the box office in three years. The film benefited from a high profile social media campaign called #GoldOpen that included many of it's stars such as Constance Wu and Henry Golding celebrating the films entirely Asian cast.
