On Wednesday, 28 the intro to Ag and Natural Resource Management classes attended the area forest and land judging contest at the PA Lumber Museum. The PA Lumber Museum is located between Galeton and Coudersport, in Potter county. Here they tested soils, trees, wildlife, and equipment. When tested the soils they were looking for soil textures for clay, silt, and sand. They judged on whether trees would needed to be cut down, and what type of tree they were. Identifying mammals and birds, along with pelts and feces. Then identifying lumber equipment. There were 175 students that had taken place competing within this county.
