The juniors at East Juniata are being interviewed this week! During PSSA testing, all of the juniors have 2 hour long homerooms where they have been working hard at perfecting their interview questions. Each student was interviewed by volunteers from local businesses and graded on their preparedness, applications, resumes, and introduction. They had to fill out a 50 question practice sheet, a cover letter, resume, a filled out job application, thank you letter, and a post interview questionnaire. Everyone had to dress in nice attire and treat it as a real life situation.
From my personal perspective, while preparing for these interviews I was feeling nervous and stressed. Despite being nervous, during the mock interview I felt comfortable and realized I was more prepared than I thought. To prepare for this I answered the 50 possible interview questions, and then practiced answering them to my family and friends. I also prepared different questions to ask my interviewer at the end. Doing these mock interviews was really helpful, and I learned a lot. I am excited to take what I learned into the real world.
A big thank you to our interviewers who came in and volunteered their time to interview us!!
