On Friday, April 20 the yearbook editors got the chance to go to New York City. We had a blast, and got to experience the city life. We visited the 9/11 Memorial, Central Park, the High Line, and ate lots of interesting food. We started the day when we left EJ at 4 a.m. and returned to EJ around 11:30 p.m. We made lots of memories on this trip, and would go again in a heartbeat. Even if you do not join yearbook, it is so important to get involved in a club in high school, there are so many benefits.
Some of the many benefits of joining a club include: making new friends, new opportunities, showing school spirit, and gaining sense of leadership and belonging. There are people we have gotten closer due to being involved that we would not have interacted with much otherwise. You also have a chance to get your name out there and make a mark on the school, because people love knowing who was a part of what. Being involved in clubs also gives you something to look forward to other than just a long 7 hour long school day; it also gives you a chance to get to know the teachers more. We suggest joining a club to liven up your school experience.
