The wood shop here at East Juniata High School is starting to see numerous projects come together as the year is starting to come to an end. Many second, third and fourth year students are getting their own projects that they designed put together. There are also many first year students this year that are working hard. Each first year student is required to build a footstool using hand tools only and a shaker table. Mr. Roush, the industrial arts teacher does an amazing job of getting around to each and every one of his students to give them assistance when needed and one on one time. Each first year student chooses the species of wood they want to make their table out of. They then follow the blueprints and examples made by Mr. Roush to go from rough lumber to a nice shaker table. Each of the students can then take their projects home with them where they will forever cherish it. They will be able to look at the project and remember the good times they had in the wood shop at East Juniata.
