In Mrs. Cameron’s Spanish 3 class, the students were assigned a country at the beginning of the school year that they would do multiple projects on throughout the year. As one of the projects, the class had to create a menu based on the food in their country. On the menu, they had to include appetizers, beverages, main dishes, and desserts. Meanwhile, the menu had to be colorful and eye-catching to receive the maximum amount of points. The class had almost an entire month to gather information about their country’s food, and then they later had to present their menu’s to the rest of the class. If a student wanted to receive extra credit, one could make an item of food from their menu or just food from their country in general. Most of the students made a dessert from their country and they received 15 extra bonus points in Mrs. Cameron’s class. Even though some projects aren’t fun, teachers can make their assignments fun and productive at the same time.
