On March 16 and 17, East Juniata TAG! performed the musical Annie. The accompany for the musical was performed by the East Juniata Pit Band. The groups met every night for two weeks straight to practice and put the whole show together. Before those two weeks, the musical Pit Band met regularly most nights from 4:00 to 6:30.

    The members of the Pit Band were required to follow every move the cast of the musical did, and vice versa, as it is very difficult to get both groups to function simultaneously. Fortunately, both the cast and the Pit Band were extremely well prepared, and it was very smooth sailing for the dress rehearsals. Within just days of starting the dress rehearsals, members were already saying it was production worthy.

    Finally, on March 16 and 17, the cast and pit band performed Annie for the public. The end result was welcomed by thunderous applause and immediate standing ovations the moment it was over. The auditorium was nearly packed both nights, especially Friday, and the audiences could not have been more acceptive of the musical. Overall, the production of Annie went very well both Friday and Saturday night, and will go down as one of the greatest EJ musicals ever.
