East Juniata’s Girls Track And Field Beats Mount Union

On Monday March 26th, the East Juniata Girls’ Track and Field Team beat Mount Union with a score of 78-62. The meet began with the 3200 relay, in which EJ placed first with a time of 12:05, while MU had a time of 12:55. Next, EJ placed first and second place in the 110/100 hurdles, with Brianna Henry in first and Rebecca Book in second. Kierstyn Fogle placed first in the 100 with a time of 13.7. The Tigers took home a win in the 1600 with Clarye Guyer in first and Bralynn Clouser in third. In the 400, EJ’s Kierstyn Fogle took first with Emily Wert close behind in second.
Next, in the 300 hurdles, Brianna Henry ran a 59.1 and Rebecca Book had a time of 1:05.2, taking first and third. In the 800, Emily Wert and Bralynn Clouser took first and second place. Next, in the 200 Madison McDonald placed first and Brianna Henry placed second. After the 200, Carly Beaver placed first in the 3200 with a time of 13:59.6. Last but not least for the track events, EJ placed first in the 1600 relay with a time of 5:02.2.
East Juniata also received a few wins for the field events at Mount Union. Clarye Guyer threw a 94’2” in javelin, placing first for EJ. In the long jump, Madison McDonald placed second with a jump of 12’7”. Clarye Guyer then placed second in the high jump with a 4’0”. To finish the wins in field events for East Juniata, Gracie Brubaker placed second in the triple jump. Congratulations to all the girls who participated!
