Niagara Falls is one of the most favored tourist attractions in the state. Did you know that Niagara Falls was developed 12,000 years ago? It is located in New York and is ascended upon by 12 million travelers from all around the world every summer. Niagara Falls is also known to be the most favored place for couples to celebrate their wedding by going on their honeymoon there.
5.5 gallons of water runs over the Niagara Falls each hour. The heap of water is under control by the Canadian and American governments to slow erosion. Some of the water is redirected to arrange power for the United States and Canada, making Niagara Falls the biggest source of electric power in the world. Located below the Falls is a river that is 170 feet deep. The water that flows over the Falls exits from the Great Lakes and ninety percent of the water goes over the Horseshoe Falls.
The significance of the Falls has triggered many and has caused people to risk their lives in many ways like wooden barrels and rubber balls. On October 24th, 1901, a 63-year old woman named Annie Edson Taylor who was a teacher became the first lady to complete the plunge over Niagara Falls in a barrel.
Niagara Falls is a fascinating place to visit weather you’re going on a honeymoon or taking a vacation. Although I do not recommend anyone trying any of the stunts people have tried doing over the Niagara Falls in the past, but I do recommend everyone to go and see the magnificent views.
