The East Juniata High School musical for 2018, Annie is almost here for the people to see. “Annie” is about an orphan named Annie (Lily Manivil) who is on the search for her parents with help from her new friend Oliver Warbucks (Nicholas Pilot), but as they search for her parents, the villain Miss Hanningin (Sarah Irvin) hatches a plan with her brother Rooster (Robert Ferry) and his girlfriend Lily St. Regis (Tara Feltmen) to get money through Annie. As the performance date nears, the cast of “Annie” becomes less relaxed and more focused on making their performance as perfect as as possible. Recently, the pit band has joined the show to begin contributing the music for the performance under the direction of Kevin Miliken. Their director Penny Ritzmen has been fine tuning little scenes with the cast and pit band to make sure the musical goes as smoothly as possible. The set is getting their last minute details, and props and costumes are scrounged up for finalizing. The cast is also learning to move the set for each scene, a hard job especially in the dark auditorium with only flashlights. The spring musical should be a great performance on Friday and Saturday, March 16 and 17 at 7 o’clock pm.
