On Sunday, March 4, the Dave Liebman Big Band performed at Central Dauphin East High School in Harrisburg, PA. East Juniata band director, Mr. Kevin Milliken, and his wife, Lori, attended the concert, accompanied by seven EJ band members. Those present for the performance were Sarah Irvin, Zach Leitzel, Bryson Kantz, Sierra Gearhart, Robert Ferry, Kylie Elsasser, and Paige Smith.

In addition to the concert, the Big Band members held workshops for the brass, woodwind, and rhythm sections. In these classes, students had the opportunity to ask the musicians any questions they had, and learn more about aspects of the jazz genre of music. 

Dave Liebman himself also spoke to  the entire group of attendees, and played a short improvised solo on his soprano saxophone. He discussed his role models, and described the many things he learned while playing with the great Miles Davis. 

The concert was incredible and full of energy. It was inspiring to all who were listening. Afterwards, the East Juniata attendees were able to talk with members of the ensemble that they knew from previous events, including the legendary guitarist Vic Juris, the director of the band Gunnar Mossblad, and drummer Marko Marcinko.
