Desert Island is an art and book store with an amazing selection of serial and indie comics, illustrated kids books, art books, graphic novels, handmade artists books, vintage Mad magazines and comics, and copious prints and posters. Pretty much everything that you've ever want to read all in one strange little store. The decor is what makes this shop unique. The inside has an enormous handmade chandelier of swirling blue arrows, bumper stickers and colorful paisley wallpaper. The best part is that artists and authors can sell their comics or zines at Desert Island, so you get to experience all kinds of comics you might not see anywhere else.
