Jade Hameister, the 16-year-old skier from Australia, became the youngest person to complete the Polar Hat Trick, which involves traversing the North Pole, South Pole, and Greenland ice sheet. Her 37-day journey took her through the Transantarctic Mountain Range en route to the Amundsen-Scott station in the South Pole.
By completing the Polar Hat Trick, Jade is now part of the world’s elite group of Arctic and Antarctic explorers and is also the first woman to set a new route from the coast to the South Pole through the unexplored Kansas Glacier.
