We just recently started an itty bitty soccer camp for small children at the lions den. As a group we teach small kids the basics of soccer. We work on simple things like passing and shooting the ball properly. It is really enjoyable to play with little children who enjoy the game. They don’t fully understand the concept, but they are interested in learning and make it fun.
We set up small drills for each group of kids and just rotate them around every 7 minutes. The first week we had them dribbling through cones and then kicking it in the goal. We also showed them how to trap and pass the ball properly around a square. We also taught them how to throw the ball in if it goes out of bounds. The second week it got a little harder. We had them dribbling through cones in a zigzag line making it more challenging. We really enjoy coaching and trying to help the little kids and can not wait for the upcoming weeks.
